Hi, I’m Louis, founder o Secondz. I used to make apps, now I make appetizers.

I started Secondz with a simple idea: how might we make the best street food from around the world more accessible and convenient?

I was born in Singapore, a place where rich flavors and food stories live on every corner, even recognized by Michelin. But after moving to the U.S., I often found myself craving the meals that not only brought my family together, but gave me a sense of home. The takeout was never quite right. The flavors lacked depth, heritage—and heart.

So I started cooking. Then freezing. Then sharing.

Why Puffs?

Every culture has its version of a handheld pocket: empanadas, samosas, patties, pasties. Ours started with the curry puff—but the vision is bigger than that. Secondz is a platform for flavor, story, and connection—wrapped in puff pastry, bao buns, and beyond.

What we believe in:

  • Great food should be effortless and exciting

  • Frozen doesn’t mean compromise—it means no waste, no rush, and no preservatives

  • Sharing food is the easiest way to connect people across cultures

Our puffs go from freezer to plate in 6+ minutes. They’re chef-crafted, double-sized, and made with clean-label ingredients—perfect as an appetizer for many or a main for one.

But this isn’t just about food.

As a queer, immigrant founder of color, I know what it means to be overlooked. At Secondz, we believe everyone deserves a seat at the table:

  • We celebrate ingredients of all shapes, sizes, and origins

  • We use food as a medium to tell stories of identity, inclusion, and second chances
